The other day I had the opportunity to pick strawberries on a local farm. They were only 2 dollars a basket (and they are organic)! Such a great price and as fresh as they come. (Sorry about no pictures from the fields; I forgot my camera.) These strawberries and the warm weather we have been having here inspired this Strawberry-Kiwi sorbet. It is so easy to make and is the perfect snack on a hot day.
Strawberry-Kiwi Sorbet
16 oz strawberries
2 tablespoons sugar
1 kiwi, peeled and cut into small pieces
1 1/2 teaspoons fresh mint leaves, minced
Cut the stems off the strawberries. Puree the strawberries and sugar together. Mix into the strawberry puree, the mint and kiwi. Pour into an 8x8 inch pan. Freeze then scoop and serve.
